Our commitment

imprm studio is an independent, small business, and like you, we treasure our environment and community.

We create clothes with only positive stories behind without compromising on style. We care about the environment and people who make every tiny, little detail with great responsibility and big hearts. We work with the simple idea of using only low impact, organic, certified, and recyclable materials. We design consciously and believe in minimizing harm to our planet in every aspect we can. In the end, where do you want to wear all these comfy pieces if not on those crystal clear, paradise lagoons?

From the green practices to the artisan approach in artful & bold prints we share the story about modern femininity at its best meaning.

Swimwear / Activewear

Every single imprm swimwear/activewear piece is made from recycled and sustainable fabrics. We use fabric made from ECONYL®, a 100% regenerated nylon made using pioneering closed-loop regeneration processes, meaning that we can create new products without having to use new resources. It starts with rescuing waste, like fishing nets, fabric scraps, carpet flooring and industrial plastic from landfills, and ocean from all over the world. Through a radical regeneration and purification process, the nylon waste is recycled right back to its original purity. Then regenerated nylon is processed into textile yarn for your swimsuit or activewear. As well as being a solution to waste, ECONYL® regenerated nylon is also better when it comes to climate change. It reduces the global warming impact of nylon by up to 80% compared with the material from oil like polyester.

Lining makes up 50% of swimwear fabric consumption and is often overlooked. Our linings are made from recycled and sustainable content because our commitment to sustainability runs through every layer of our ethos as well as our swimwear.

Not only is our groundbreaking fabric eco-friendly, but it is also lightweight and extremely comfortable, luxuriously soft, delivers UV protection UPF 50+ and superior resistance to sun creams and oils!

Ps. Every swimsuit comes in a linen, reusable swimwear bag.

Linen clothes

Linen is an all-natural, biodegradable, fibre that requires no chemicals for growth or transformation, yay! The fabric keeps you cool in summer and warm in the winter because the fibres retain air, thus creating natural insulation. The smooth fiber has a cooling effect, is absorbent and moisture-regulating and therefore actually a must-have for the whole year. Linen cloth has a beneficial effect on sensitive skin and is the most resistant fabric. It does not pill or lose its shape, and gets softer and softer with every wash. Flax fibers, which form the basis for linen fabrics, are among the oldest fibers with textile properties. Each fabric is carefully selected for its reduced environmental impact and uncompromising luxury.

We focus on Polish and (in small cases) Belarusian linen, they are either OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified or have a confirmation that they have been made following the standards of the above certificate. You can learn more about what each item was made of under the ‘Composition’ information. The Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX® is a worldwide independent testing and certification system, testing products for harmful substances during all stages of the manufacturing process.

Organic cotton t-shirts & tops

For imprm t-shirts & tops, our focus is on Organic Cotton. We use organic Stretch Jersey that is knitted out of the finest Turkish organic cotton on circular knitting machines in Portugal. Organic cotton is grown in a balanced ecosystem without the use of harmful chemicals - so it's safer for the cotton farmers and our planet. It combines tradition, innovation, and science to benefit the environment and promote a good quality of life for all. Our organic cotton fabrics are not only GOTS certified, but Fairtrade Cotton certified as well. Products bearing the Fairtrade Cotton mark are certified as having been produced and traded to the Fairtrade standard, and the production chain of the processed cotton can be traced all the way back to the fibers’ unprocessed origins. The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibres, including ecological and social criteria, backed up by independent certification of the entire textile supply chain. The aim of the standard is to define world-wide recognized requirements that ensure organic status of textiles, from harvesting of the raw materials, through environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing up to labelling in order to provide a credible assurance to the end consumer.

We understand that organic cotton may sometimes seem too expensive. But you are investing in water conservation, clean air, healthy soil, and fairer life for the farmers – and measured by that, the price is not that high anymore.

Our process

We take pride in consciously reducing our eco-footprint with every step in the process.

Local production

We produce locally! Our pieces are all designed and sewn in Poland. All linen and organic cotton clothes are even made within 12km from our office in Poznan and our swimwear is made by an amazing team in Krosno. We collaborate with a few local sewing workshops - working with local seamstresses and craftspeople allows us to be involved in the whole production process as well as ensure that there's the least possible waste in materials. This close relationship helps us ensure the most high-quality items are produced without compromising work ethics. Additionally: we print all our original pattern designs on fabrics in Poland, our self-covered buttons and belts are made in Poland, embroideries and screen printing are made by small workshops in Poland.

Small batches = slow fashion

We cut small quantities and design our seasons in small batches - this way the pieces we make are unique. Basically, you won’t see everyone and their mama wearing it. Although that would be cool, we favor ethical production to mass production. Quality over quantity!

We get crafty

We do our best to make the most of our leftovers by making scrunchies and linen bags out of the excess fabric we have. We strive for less fabric waste!

Clean only when it’s dirty

Through small, simple gestures, we can reduce our carbon footprint and make a big difference to the environment.  Did you know that increasing the life cycle of your garments is the most direct way you can reduce waste and pollution in the textiles system? This means that we as consumers have the absolute power to effect positive change for our planet. Here you can find a few ways to make your laundry routine a little bit greener.

Repair & up-cycle or swap

We all know that fashion contributes to the waste problem. You can have a major impact by simply repairing, up-cycling or swapping your garment to keep it in the system and contribute to the circular economy. If your favourite imprm piece needs repairing and you can't do it yourself, please contact us: hello@imprm-studio.com

Packaging

As an e-commerce store, we became incredibly aware of the amount of plastic waste that can be generated, so we are as vigilant about our packaging as we are about our garments themselves. We research and source the most sustainable materials we can find and we never use more than needed, especially when shipping.

When buying from our online store you can be assured that your products will be gift wrapped in recycled tissue, and then popped inside our recycled box or biodegradable corn starch bag, to be delivered to your door.
